Getting to Dhumba Lake from Jomsom
Getting from Jomsom Bazar to Dhumba lake is an adventure that many travelers enjoy. You can start off your journey by taking a jeep ride up to Kagbeni winding through the dramatically changing terrain. From there, it’s just a short hike of about 45 minutes until you reach Dhumba Lake. Be prepared for the altitude once you arrive: if you’re not used to high altitudes, take some time to get used to it before making your descent down towards the lake—which will leave you in awe of its entirety. The views at this point are spectacular and worth every step it took to get here!
